Brief Description:
Come join in the fun of the 3rd Annual Silverlake Sprint
Triathlon! This triathlon, located in the scenic Silverlake community of west
Pearland, has become a favorite among Houston triathletes looking for an early
season event. Spots are limited, so don't miss out this year!

Relay $130 USA Triathlon membership required. NO REFUNDS OR TRANSFERS ON

Course:
The 400 meter OPEN WATER swim is an out and back
rectangular course in Lake Silverlake, an ultra clean man-made lake
surrounded by parks and majestic homes. The 10 mile bike course follows a
fast concrete route with police-controlled intersections. The 3 mile run
takes place on well-maintained, quiet suburban roads and includes aid
stations at every mile.

Regular Registration thru 4/5/08 Individual $65 & Relay $120; Late Registration 4/6/08 thru 5/15/08 NOON CST Individual $75 & Relay $130; REGISTRATION CLOSES MAY 15, 2008 at NOON CST or when filled.

USA Triathlon:
This event is sanctioned by USAT. A valid USAT card and
photo ID must be presented at packet pickup by the card holder. The USAT
phone number is 719.597.9090, and its website is www.usatriathlon.org. For
insurance purposes, ALL members of relay teams need to be USAT members. One
day licenses are available for $10.00 at packet pickup (CASH ONLY) for all
participants who are aged 18 and older who are not annual members. THERE IS
NO ONE-DAY LICENSE AVAILABLE FOR YOUTH AGED 17 AND UNDER.

Awards:
Awards will be given to the overall Male and Female;
overall Master's Male and Female; overall Male, Female and Co-ed Relays.
Athena, Clydesdale and Age Group awards 3 deep.

Race Age:
According to USAT rules, your age is your age by the END
OF THE YEAR 2008. If you report your age as of race day, you may be
disqualified from age group awards and USAT ranking. Please remember this at
body marking.

Proceeds:
We promote physical activity and safety among school-age
children. Accordingly, a share of the proceeds from the Silverlake Sprint
Triathlon will go to community projects that promote an active lifestyle
among this age group.

Packet Pickup:
Packets may be picked up at Fitness Solutions (2837 Miller
Ranch Road, Suite 113 [off of FM 518], Pearland, TX, 77584; 832.736.9700 ) on Friday, May 16, from 11 am to 7:00 pm; and Saturday, May 17, from 10 am to 2 pm. USA Triathlon requires that each entrant pick up his or her own packet and
show a valid photo ID. NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION OR PACKET PICKUP.

Chip Timing:
The event will be chip-timed. Lost chip fees $35. Chips
will be handed out on race day at the park gazebo beginning at 6 AM. If you own your own chip, you will be able to give us your chip number during the
online registration process. Complete results will be available at
www.runnertriathletenews.com as soon as possible after the race.

Aid Stations:
Aid stations will be available on each mile of the run. A
station will also be provided at the swim exit. A medical team will be on
hand throughout the day.

Directions to Packet Pickup:
Packet Pickup is at Fitness Solutions, in our NEW LOCATION
in the Silverlake Business Park, at 2837 Miller Ranch Road, Suite 113,
Pearland, 77584. From Houston, take 288 South to the 'Pearland' exit (FM
518). Turn left (east) on FM 518. Go thru the traffic light at CR 94, merge
into the left lane, then turn left on Miller Ranch at the Advance Auto Parts.
Turn right into the Silverlake Business Park park at the 3rd driveway.
Fitness Solutions is behind the Pittsburgh Paint Store, Suite 113.

Transition:
Body marking opens at 5:30 AM at the transition area on Shelby
Drive. Transition opens at 5:30 am and closes for prerace announcements at 6:30 am SHARP!
